State Corporation ROSCOSMOS became the Platinum Sponsor of the upcoming 19th International Scientific and Technical Conference “FROM IMAGERY TO DIGITAL REALITY: ERS & Photogrammetry”

Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the ROSCOSMOS, took a decision to support the conference “FROM IMAGERY TO DIGITAL REALITY: ERS & Photogrammetry” as a Platinum sponsor. The State Space Corporation considers the conference as an important tool for promoting advanced Russian achievements in remote sensing field on the world market.

Representatives of Navigation Space Systems Department and employees of the Russian space industry will take part in the conference from the side of the State Space Corporation.

ROSCOSMOS is a State Corporation that was established in August 2015 to oversee and implement a comprehensive reform of the Russian space industry. State Space Corporation ROSCOSMOS ensures the implementation of the Russian government’s space program and its legal regulation. ROSCOSMOS is also placing orders for the development, manufacture and supply of space equipment and space infrastructure objects. The state corporation is also responsible for international space cooperation and tasked with setting the stage for the future use of results of space activities in the social and economic development of Russia.

Russian-Korean cooperation in the field of space has a positive experience in the program of Korean rocket vehicle KSLV-1 creation, which ended in 2013 with a successful launch. ROSCOSMOS and Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) signed a Memorandum of mutual understanding on activation of bilateral cooperation in space field, including remote sensing area, in the framework of the Russian-Korean summit talks at the EEF-2016 in Vladivostok in 2016. Participation of ROSCOSMOS specialists in the work of the International scientific and technical conference “FROM IMAGERY TO DIGITAL REALITY: ERS & Photogrammetry” certainly will allow to activate Russian-Korean program of cooperation.

A number of communication, exhibitional and technical platforms oriented to promote Russian remote sensing data will be organized in the frame of the conference. A meeting with foreign dealers of Racurs Company, the organizer of the conference, and representatives of Roscosmos will be held. Issues of joint promotion of the company’s program products and Russian remote sensing data will be discussed during the meeting. Methods of photogrammetric and thematic data processing received by Resurs-P, Aist-2D, and Canopus-V will be considered at the master classes on the third day of the conference.

The conference gives participants a unique opportunity to know about all aspects of the Russian system of remote sensing—from the development of devices to thematic products—and also to hold negotiations with decision-makers.
